Dunes

With the sack over my shoulder
Taking the old walk slow
Moving on and going down
To a land I’ve never known

Those hills are steep, with the ground too smooth
Pleasure’s antics keep me on my way
Not taking too many looks back
Yet not only looking at what’s infront
Of eyes partly open, letting the desert sands
Slightly weep
In the arid sunlight

The dune’s ceramic red, my skin is burnt and bright
The nights are cold, until forth comes the brutish sunlight
Beauty stands in mother nature’s stoic ways

The bass waves are gently riding
Through to my ears, bright sound
The humidity is rising
But a calm beauty in here, I have found
Standing in the desert storm
Birds above sing songs happy, yet a little bleak
As they circle above me, hot and worn

The dune’s ceramic red, my skin is burnt and bright
The nights are cold, until forth comes the brutish sunlight
Beauty stands in mother nature’s stoic ways
